Charity Support for Shine (Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Information, Networking and Equality)
Dahl’s son Theo had hydrocephalus, and he invented a valve to treat the condition. He joined meetings of parents whose children were similarly affected, the forerunner to The Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (ASBAH), which recently became Shine. Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff.
