Tom Solomon is Director of the Institute of Infection and Global Health at the University of Liverpool and Heads the Liverpool Brain Infections Group. Established in 1998, the Group conducts research on encephalitis and other brain infections in the UK and globally. This includes vaccine preventable diseases, such as Japanese encephalitis, and other emerging brain infections. The Group also supports clinical service, training and capacity building.
